GreenLeaf is the brainchild of Hunter Tracy, Nicolas Barrows, and Jessica Peters. It is a tree-shaped lamp which, when plugged into a personal computer running the GreenLeaf software, lights up in various ways to represent current weather conditions, including air quality. It also has various light settings which make it an aesthetically pleasing lamp without an internet connection. It’s aesthetic design is a combination of industrial materials and organic structures, as a reminder to an ever industrializing world that technology and nature should flourish in harmony. It serves as a functional indicator of potentially dangerous air quality conditions and adds ambient to brighten any environment.
